Cypress, Texas – In a striking departure from his famously brash persona, UFC icon Conor McGregor has publicly declared a renewed spiritual focus, crediting God for saving him and reshaping his life. Speaking at a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) press conference in Italy last week, the 37-year-old fighter revealed that he’s been on a “spiritual journey” since his last UFC bout in 2021.
“I’m not here just by chance. There is a higher power, God, that dictates my journey and all of our journeys. And I live my life by God’s Word,” McGregor said when asked about his personal transformation and its connection to BKFC, where he now serves as part-owner.

McGregor, who suffered a career-halting ankle injury during his rematch with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264,
told reporters that the setback marked the beginning of a profound spiritual awakening.
