Nathanael Releases First Single for 2026, “War Room”

Trinidad and Tobago gospel producer and songwriter Nathanael has
released “War Room,” his first single for 2026.The singer shared a short clip from the
song on his Instagram earlier today, captioned, “No long talk. NOW is atime to pray.”
The release marks yet another collaboration with longtime friend and producer DJ Bodyroc, with the two
having worked together on a numberof Nathanael’s early releases dating back to songs such as “We Nah
Run,” “Slippery Slope,” and “We Home,” and more recently on
Dancehall/R&B-infused records “Big Man Ting” and “Bonus” from Nathanael’s Forever + 1 album project.
Ten years later… and they’re still at it. This time, the pair return with a classic
kaiso-inspired offering titled “War Room,” a record that centres on the
importance of prayer and calls believers to be more intentional in their time
with God. Rooted in Caribbean musical sensibilities and spiritual reflection, the
song sets the tone for a new year with purpose and resolve.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Nathanael shared:

2025 was a difficult season for me. A lot of the year was spent looking for answers and searching for solutions. Looking back now, I see moments of rest;
moments where I simply let it all go; moments where I felt most heard; where the weight came off. Even before I tangibly experienced any change in my
circumstances, there was breakthrough through worship and prayer.”
