A LIFE OF PURPOSE, PERSEVERANCE AND POSITIVE IMPACT

From a remarkably young age, Alan Stafford knew he was meant to make an impact. Inspired by family, grounded in faith, and even motivated by adversity, his journey has been anything but ordinary. Now approaching 34, Alan is a husband, a father, a successful entrepreneur managing three businesses, and a committed drummer at his local church every Sunday.

Grounded in Heritage and Humility

Alan’s academic journey began at the Grenada Boys Secondary School and continued at St. George’s University, where he pursued a double major in Management of Information System, a mix of Information Technology and Business Administration. During his university years, he became affectionately known as “The Snack Man” selling snacks to help fund his education early evidence of his entrepreneurial spirit. After graduating, Alan stepped into the world of sales, becoming a road salesperson dealing in

wholesale goods ranging from groceries to electronics. By age 21, he launched his first company an ambitious move shaped by both necessity and vision.
Originally from both Grenada and Carriacou, Alan the is second of six siblings. His deep connection to the island is reflected in his love for deep-sea diving, a hobby he still enjoys with his younger brother whenever time allows. These moments offer not only peace but also a reminder of his humble beginnings and the struggles that shaped his resolve. The hardships his family faced fueled his determination to rise above circumstances and serve as an example to those around him.

The Rise of the 10 Points Enterprise

Today, Alan owns and operates 10 Points Grocery in Upper Woburn, a community-focused store known for its wide selection of products. What began as a strategic move to support this business led to a second entrepreneurial venture. After purchasing a truck to transport supplies, Alan quickly discovered the demand for moving services. This led to the birth of his second company, 10 Points Movers, which has since expanded its fleet.
In April 2025, Alan launched his third venture, Bits & Pieces Hardware, located in Corinth, St. David. Catering to homeowners and DIY enthusiasts, the store provides essential hardware, plumbing, and electrical supplies saving customers a long trip to town for everyday items.

Anchor in Adversity: Faith and Resilience

While his ventures reflect ambition and vision, the path has not been without challenges. Alan is candid about the emotional toll of running multiple businesses. He notes that the same drive or what he refers to ambitiousness that pushes him forward can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when facing criticism from those who believe he’s “doing too much.”
Nonetheless, his unwavering faith in God remains his anchor. Prayer, he says, is the foundation of every business decision. He has weathered significant losses ranging from accidents to theft. One particularly devastating moment came when his office was broken into and all his tools were stolen, forcing costly replacements. Another incident involved internal theft at one of his businesses. Yet, despite setbacks, Alan remains undeterred. In fact, he’s already laying the groundwork for his next venture guided, as always, by the belief that with God, all things are possible.

Discipline, Balance, and Future Vision

Alan credits his ability to balance business, family, and church to discipline and time management. He’s intentional about setting clear goals and allocating time wisely, knowing each area of his life comes with demands that don’t coordinate with one another. Still, he approaches each responsibility with a spirit of excellence.
What’s most striking in conversation with Alan is his passion for youth empowerment. He is deeply invested in inspiring the next generation, not just by example but through direct mentorship and encouragement.

“Building a company and employing others is one thing,” he says, “but building an economy through education is more lasting.”

Looking ahead, Alan Stafford is focused on continuing to expand his enterprise while empowering others, especially young people to believe in themselves and contribute
meaningfully to their communities. His story is one of grit, grace, and a relentless pursuit of purpose.
